Sierra Seaside

I spent a few days shooting in Seattle this November.  I was flown up for an engagement shoot which I'll be posting soon, but I also took advantage of some quality time with my closest friend Sierra!  Per usual we had to do a photo shoot so she could release her inner supermodel and I could take some pretty pictures by the sea.  I got the idea of a flower crown from a photo in a magazine I saw.  I knew I wanted to take advantage of the beach so we stopped by Hobby Lobby and grabbed some supplies.  I stayed up way too long super gluing my fingers together (on accident) and trying to make the perfect beachy flower crown.  Seattle is always gloomy, so I wanted to keep the colors pretty subtle.  It took about 20 minutes to get these shots.  We were running out of light and poor little Laney was at risk for frostbite it was so cold.  I couldn't be any happier with the way these images turned out.  Minimal makeup, hair, and wardrobe made for a natural beachy feel.  Enjoy!

The Wonderful Weinmann Family

Let me apologize in advance for my lack of blogging.  It's been what feels like an eternity since the last time I've posted a session on here.  I have so much new work I can't wait to show you guys!.  Let's start out with one of the sweetest little families I've ever worked with.  I took them up to a grassy canyon up by Pineview Reservoir.  I was hoping to get some of the fall colors in these photos, but for some reason fall didn't last very long up here in Utah.  Even though we didn't get fall colors we got rich gorgeous light that worked perfect for this family.  If you know me you'll know I'm a sucker for a golden sun drenched field.  This family was such a pleasure to shoot.  Families who are just starting out with the recent joy of a  baby put a huge smile on my face.  I loved being able to capture the way this dad was wrapped around Kenzie's tiny, little, baby girl finger.  I also loved seeing the true and genuine love between this new mama and dad.  I wish the Weinmann family nothing but the best on their venture as a perfect little family.  I hope you enjoy looking at these images as much as I liked taking them!
